Santa Clarita Transit Unveils New Token Transit App
Riders May Now Purchase Tickets and Passes through the Mobile Ticketing Smartphone App
Santa Clarita Transit riders have a new option for purchasing passes. Patrons may now use the Token Transit mobile ticketing app to purchase single ride tickets and period passes. In addition, the Token Transit app allows app users to gift and send passes. The app stores purchased tickets and passes on the rider’s smartphone and provides a validation screen to be shown to the bus driver upon boarding for proof of purchase. The app is free and can be downloaded at TokenTransit.com.
Token Transit is convenient for parents of student riders that may need to quickly purchase and send passes to their son or daughter for last-minute rides.
After downloading the Token Transit app, users can store account information for fast and easy payment. Users then select the appropriate rider type, either a full rider or one of the reduced fares (Senior and Disabled passes require ID verification), and select the desired pass type. Purchased tickets and passes are valid for the time specified on the screen and redirect to the ticket validation screen when selected. Please note that Token Transit cannot be used for inter-agency transfers.
The City of Santa Clarita Transit is proud to unveil this new app which makes ticket purchasing simple and efficient. As a special offer to their patrons, Santa Clarita Transit is discounting the first purchase of a local single ride ticket by 50 percent.
