Run Down a Dream at Concerts in the Park
The PettyBreakers Set to Thrill Central Park Crowd Saturday
With a distinct sound and iconic music tackling some of the most important issues of our generation, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers has been a staple in rock ‘n’ roll for nearly four decades. This Saturday, August 12, leading tribute band The PettyBreakers will recreate the Tom Petty experience for fans at the City of Santa Clarita’s Concerts in the Park, presented by Logix Federal Credit Union. This free show will take place at 7:00 p.m. at Central Park, located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road.
The PettyBreakers are based out of Southern California and are widely considered one of the best tribute bands in the country. The group has previously performed as part of AXS TV’s “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands,” exciting crowds with the sights, sounds and experience of a live Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers concert. The PettyBreakers’ lineup is comprised of musicians who have performed and recorded with international artists and the band’s repertoire includes all the hits, including American Girl, Free Fallin’, Break Down, Mary Jane’s Last Dance and more.
Concerts in the Park is a series of free concerts put on by the City every Saturday night through August 26. The family-friendly atmosphere allows residents and visitors to sit back, relax and enjoy the music all summer long.
Concert-goers are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets and food vendors will be on site selling a variety of concessions and snacks. A free bicycle valet service is provided by the SCV Bicycle Coalition, allowing residents to bike to and from the concert and avoid the hassle of finding a place to park.
