Show Your Country Roots at Concerts in the Park

Savannah Burrows, Double Wide Set to Perform Saturday Night

Post Date:07/26/2017 9:40 AM

It’s country music’s night to shine at the City of Santa Clarita’s Concerts in the Park, presented by Logix Federal Credit Union, on Saturday, July 29, at 7:00 p.m. Local country singer-songwriter Savannah Burrows will perform, followed by country cover band Double Wide, at Central Park, located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road.

Burrows returns to Central Park after winning the local round of the 35th Country Showdown, America’s largest country music talent showcase, in front of thousands of fans in 2016. She performs only original songs and has also taken the stage at the legendary Blue Bird Café in Nashville, the same venue where Garth Brooks and Taylor Swift were discovered.

Double Wide is one of Southern California’s top cover bands and performs a wide range of country hits including those with classic rock and pop roots. The band’s set list has featured songs from the likes of Big & Rich, Toby Keith, Hank Williams Jr. and Willie Nelson. Double Wide is known for its showmanship, vocal harmonies and virtuoso instrumentals.

Concert attendees should plan to arrive early and take advantage of the space in front of the stage for line dancing all night.

Concerts in the Park is a series of free concerts put on by the City every Saturday night through August 26. The family-friendly atmosphere allows residents and visitors to sit back, relax and enjoy the music all summer long.

Concert-goers are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets, and food vendors will be on site selling a variety of concessions and snacks. A free bicycle valet service is provided by the SCV Bicycle Coalition, allowing residents to bike to and from the concert and avoid the hassle of finding a place to park.
