City Seeking Volunteers for the 2017 Cowboy Festival

Post Date:03/15/2017 10:12 AM

Attention cowboys and cowgirls!  The 24th annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival needs volunteers. Men, women and children over the age of 10 are invited to saddle up and volunteer at activities taking place at William S. Hart Park and venues in Old Town Newhall, from Wednesday, April 19 through Sunday, April 23, 2017.

Volunteer registration is now open at SantaClaritaVolunteers.com and will remain open through Sunday, April 9.  Volunteer positions include ticket takers, greeters, activity leaders, shuttle hosts, ushers and more.

All volunteers must attend the Cowboy Volunteer Round-Up and Orientation taking place on Wednesday, April 12, at 7:00 p.m. at the Centre, located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway. Volunteers will have the opportunity to ask questions and get a behind-the-scenes look at the Cowboy Festival.  Volunteer t-shirts and badges will also be distributed at the round-up.

For more information about the volunteer round-up, the Cowboy Festival and other volunteer opportunities with the City, please visit SantaClaritaVolunteers.com or contact Volunteer Engagement Program Supervisor, Tess Simgen at (661) 250-3726 or TSIMGEN@santa-clarita.com.
