Climate Change Documentary Screenings Hosted at Valencia Library through April
Residents encouraged to attend free documentary viewings in celebration of Earth Month
In honor of Earth Month, throughout the month of April, residents are invited to “Witnessing Climate Change Firsthand: Three Films by National Geographic,” a series of free National Geographic documentary screenings. The free viewings will be held in the Community Room at the Valencia Library, located at 23743 Valencia Boulevard. All films begin at 7:00 p.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
The documentaries will be screened across three consecutive Tuesdays in April:
- April 4, 2017 – “Before the Flood”: Leonardo DiCaprio takes us on his journey as United Nations Messenger of Peace for the Climate to witness climate change firsthand.
- April 11, 2017 – “Years of Living Dangerously: Collapse of the Oceans”: Joshua Jackson investigates the impacts of climate change on the world’s oceans.
- April 18, 2017 – “Years of Living Dangerously: Priceless”: Aasif Mandvi looks at the threat climate change poses to endangered species.
The “Witnessing Climate Change Firsthand” film series is organized by the Citizens’ Climate Lobby/Citizens’ Climate Education, Santa Clarita Chapter.
